His continued operation of income producing, prime real property fostered circumstances that allowed equity holders to confirm a plan of reorganization, resulting in paying unsecured creditors 100% plus interest, increasing the monthy rent roll, and leadning to a settlement of partnership developer's claims involving multi-year litigations for the sum of $5.7 million.

SilvermanAcampora LLP, as debtor’s counsel to Mrs. John L. Strong in its pending chapter 11 bankruptcy case, assisted the company in closing on a sale of substantially all of its assets, including its intellectual property, for $975,000 after conducting an auction on September 23, 2009 in the S.D.N.Y. Bankruptcy Court. The opening initial overbid was $525,000. The sale closed on October 22, 2009, with the proceeds anticipated to provide a significant return to general unsecured creditors. In November 2008, the Firm was retained as conflicts counsel to the Committee of Unsecured Creditors in the chapter 11 cases of Value City Stores which are pending in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. Value City is in the process of liquidating is assets through court-ordered going out of business sales and closing its remaining 67 stores.
