ANTHONY C. ACAMPORA

Anthony Acampora is the chairman of the Commercial and Bankruptcy Litigation Practice Group. His areas of expertise include accountants’ malpractice, complex bankruptcy and commercial litigation, and appellate litigation. He has represented clients in malpractice actions against various national and international accounting firms. He has also represented several accounting firms in connection with investigations by the Securities and Exchange Commission. For more than twenty years, he has handled matters in the state and federal courts, and has argued numerous appeals, including to the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Acampora regularly advises boards of directors and shareholders in connection with a wide range of corporate matters in both the bankruptcy and non-bankruptcy contexts.

Mr. Acampora received his Juris Doctor from the Fordham University School of Law in 1983 and was an Associate Editor of the Fordham International Law Journal. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Fordham College in 1980 (Cum Laude). He is admitted to practice in the Courts of the State of New York and in the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York and is admitted to practice before the Second Circuit Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of the United States. Mr. Acampora is a member of the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association and the Nassau County Bar Association and is active in local athletic organizations. He is the New York State Co-Chairman for the New York State Bar Association continuing education seminars on judgment enforcement and regularly lectures in the area of bankruptcy litigation.
